The Nachi brand represents a large Japanese industrial group, Nachi-Fujikoshi, which is present all over the world with factories and sales networks. Established in 1928 in Toyama, where the headquarters and main production facilities are still located, Nachi supplemented its steel production during the late thirties with the initial activity of tool manufacturing, structuring an integrated production system that formed the basis of the company's success. With sales that exceed 2.2 billion dollars, one third from foreign markets, and 8,000 employees located at more than 50 locations (between offices and factories) distributed over 20 countries and four continents, Nachi presents a very wide range of products that are organised into five divisions: precision machining (which includes cutting tools, the sector for which Vega has exclusive rights for Italy), robotics, bearings, components and materials.
The products range from steel for tools to all types of tools in sintered steel, HSS-CO and hard metal. Nachi also operates in the special machine tool sector, which is particularly dedicated to the automotive and aeronautics sector, all sizes of broaching machines, highly precise adjustments with millimicron resolution. Extremely successful products include robots (welding, painting, anthropoids), ball bearings and hydraulic equipment, (for machine tools, earth moving machines and automation in general). A leading company in the tool sector, the hardening and coating operations are fundamental, and Nachi has always produced vacuum hardening ovens and innovative ovens for the most modern and exclusive coatings.
